PATEROS, WA: Confluence Health and the Wenatchee Valley Medical Group recently announced that their Community Partnership Fund has awarded a grant this year to Pateros Treehouse Early Education Organization (PTEEO).
Funded jointly by Confluence Health and the Wenatchee Valley Medical Group (WVMG), the largest physician group affiliated with Confluence Health, the grant is administered by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington. The fund aims to award up to $500,000 each year in grants that focus on health and wellness, education, or arts and culture in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, and Okanogan counties.
Eligible applicants must be either a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, a public agency, or a public school serving students in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, or Okanogan counties. After applying this past summer, PTEEO was awarded a grant by the Community Partnership Fund Committee which reviews all submissions to determine awards.
As described in the application, Treehouse will use the funds for purchasing shade trees and outdoor learning stations and an indoor/outdoor hydroponics gardening system with age-appropriate curriculum.
“We are incredibly thankful to the contribution to this work from Confluence Health and the Wenatchee Valley Medical Group through their Community Partnership Fund,” commented Gene Dowers, Center Director of Operations. “This grant will do a great deal to help better our community and advance this important work.”
Grants are awarded each year and can be submitted starting June 1st of each year with an application deadline of July 31st. Questions about the application or the process can be directed to Jennifer Short, director of community grants at the Community Foundation, either by email to jennifer.s@cfncw.org or by calling (509) 663-7716.
